Chikungunya is a viral borne disease and it is caused by infected female mosquitoes known as Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus and it has come to know that it does not have any cure. Biting of these mosquitoes is commonly occurred in early morning and early evening. Chikungunya is a word imitative from Kimakonde language whose meaning is “to become contorted”. - Coconut water is good for reducing the liver and chikungunya viruses. Coconut water is highly suggested to those patients suffering from chikungunya and it is one of the best remedies for fast recovery.
- Raw carrots should be eaten while having chikungunya because it increases the immune resistance and reduces the pain and aches. Raw carrots can be included in salads.
- Apply garlic paste or clove oil on the painful joints would give you a relaxation and relief the pain.
- Grapes should be taken along with the cow’s milkso it will help in relieving the severe symptoms of chukungunya. Make sure the grapes are dry and seedless.
- You can reduce the symptoms by chewing the Ashwagandha.
- Use Epsom salt (magnesium sulphate) mixing in lukewarm bathing water and mix neem leaves too.
