Rock Church (Temppeliaukio Kirkko), Helsinki, Finland

Rock church is is an interesting church in Helsinki- carved inside a huge rock, it is one of the tourist attractions in the Finland capital.

Rock church (locally known as Temppeliaukio Kirkko) is illuminated by natural light around its central copper dome.

I paid a short visit to Rockchurch before returning from Helsinki- below are some pictures.

Be aware that Rock church is open to public only for few hours a day. I was lucky to be there at the right time. (Note that website may be listing Church's opening timing as 10 AM to 5 PM)

Rock church is couple of kms from Helsinki city centre. You can take tram No 2. Even tram 4 and 8 go closer, but little more walking is required.
